Orecchiette pasta with fresh peas and bacon

Components
  • 2 cups of orecchiette pasta (measured with a tea cup)
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 150 g of diced bacon
  • Half a teaspoon of fresh mint
  • Add salt and ground pepper as needed to suit your taste.
  • 4 slender pieces of parmesan cheese for garnish
Setup mode
  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil over high heat. Add one tablespoon of salt. When the water is boiling, add the noodles and cook according to the package directions.
  1. While the noodles are cooking, place a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the bacon cubes and stir occasionally until they are crispy.
  2. Turn off the heat under the bacon to prevent it from burning, then add the frozen peas. Season with freshly ground pepper (the dish is typically already well salted). Stir thoroughly, off the heat, just enough to warm the peas.
  3. Drain the water from the noodles and promptly move the dough to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stir thoroughly, and adjust the seasoning to taste. Add the mint leaves and serve, garnishing with parmesan chips on top.
